[42 , $. 2015 2015 DIVISION SCIENCE INVESTIGATIVE PROJECT ( SIP ) PLENUM Science and Technology Fair and Congress (DSTFC) MO: District Supervisors Public and Private Secondary School Heads Public and Private Elementary School Heads The Science and Technology area of Dep Ed Quezon shall conduct the Division Science and Technology Investigative Project (SIP) Plenum and the Science and Technology Fair and Congress (OSTFC) on September 24-25, 2015 at Quezon Science High Schoo}, Tayabas City. The plenum will be conducted in consonance with the objective of the science curriculum in the K to 12 program and it will also include the Science and Technology Fair and Congress (DSTFC). The fair willbe the avenue to identify the most creative and best science teacher and student researchers that will represent the division in future activities. This year’s additional areas or categories included in the activity are as follows: Science Action Research and Innovative Instructional Materials for the NAT Least Mastered Skills in the Science fair the categories for the secondary are Life and Physical Science (Team and Individual) and for the elementary, Life and Physical Science Team only. The SIP research write — up/manuscript complete with intel forms and photocopy of the logbook should be submitted on or before September 17, 2015 at Quezon Science High School, Isabang Tayabas City. All submitted write-up will be forwarded to the scientific review committee one week before the fair. This will be strictly followed by all concerned. The participants to this activity are the following: SIP Plenum Secondary 1 Key teacher per cluster (non-contestant) Elementary 1 Key teacher per district (non-contestant) Science Fair Secondary _Life & Physical Science Individual Life & Physical Science Team Elementary SIP Life & Physical Team (first place in the congressional district level) Innovative Instructional Materials in Science for the Least Mastered Skills, Secondary first place winner in the cluster level Action Research Secondary __ first place winner in the cluster Elementary first place winner in the congressional district level ‘The activity matrix, guidelines and mechanics is attached to this memorandum for your perusal. Note: On-site judging on September 25, 2014 shall start at 11:00 AM. Food shall be covered by the Special Education Fund SEF. Transportation expenses are chargeable against MOOE / local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Please bring sleeping paraphernalia. Widest dissemination of this memorandum is earnestly desired. 3. The school and division level of STFC should follow the mechanics and guides in implementing the contests for elementary and secondary levels. LbThe Research Project must conform with the international rules published by the INTEL International Rules for Pre-College Science Research and engineering Fair 2015 - 2016. Each project is expected to have a research adviser. L.cThe research project should cover a maximum of twelve continuous months from January 2015 to December 2015. Ld. Scientific fraud and misconduct is not condoned at any level of competition or research. Plagiarism, use or presentation of other research works as one’s own and fabrication of data will not be tolerated. Le The project display shall use sets of any paper board that summarizes the research project and shall focus on the proponents work for the current year. Use of tarpaulin for the display is discouraged. Safety regulations in the entire duration of the event must adhere to the guidelines of the ISEF. Copy of the required forms, copy of the research write up, project data book and 6 slide power point presentation showing the salient features of the project must be prepared and presented by the project proponent to the BOJ.
