THE PROJECT

Exploration and Feasibility Study of deep

seated coal mining development at Air Laya
and surrounding area in Tanjung Enim.

BukitAsam

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE

Background :
Air Laya Open Pit Mineable Reserves for export quality
are limited (105 million ton with Geological Reserves 256
million ton)
Potential of High Wall mining and and U/G Mining of
deep seated coal in Air Laya to increase mining recovery
Objective :

To conduct Coal Reserves Exploration and to prepare a

Pre Feasibility Study of High Wall Mining & U/G Mining
in Air Laya mine to maintain and increase PTBAs coal
export (especially to Japan).
