Superstition

"the indestructible vesture of thought."

The first thought may have ended up degenerate, darkened, or out of date; yet the
word stays "indestructible," and by it we may recuperate the idea. Superstition is
such a word. It initially implied something remaining over or above- - something that
remaining parts or has assumed the position of something else. It is, in this way,
much the same as supersede and superimposed. So the tree remains over or over
the foundation of which it has developed; so other consequent urban areas have
remained over and covered outside of anyone's ability to see the veritable Homeric
Troy. In any case, as the something to which the word alludes is constantly false or
delusive in refinement from the genuine, in this way, (we may say) does the parasite
"stand over" the fallen and rotted tree in whose substance it is established. Nature
and the world, similar to wheat and the corn field and in addition religion, are loaded
with such false parasitic outgrowths, reared from the rot of higher creatures which
just exist in lower and debased structures - superstition.
