Reflection:

This activity contributed in my understanding of online teaching as I examined ways to address all
learning styles, in particular those that were different than mine. It made me aware that I am much more
comfortable providing students with strategies directed to learning styles similar to mine than the rest.
Through the research in this activity, I was able to find specific strategies for the various learning styles.
Learning styles such as kinesthetic and musical styles can be particularly challenging for me, even in a
traditional classroom and seemed unattainable in an online classroom. However, through this assessment
and further investigation, I am confident that all students can engage and assimilate meaningful
information successfully with the right strategies for their learning styles.

Artifact 10 Diversity
PSC Online Teaching Endorsement Standards:
Candidates will respect diverse talents and use strategies designed to include all students. (II.vi.I)
Candidates will respect diverse talents and use strategies designed to include all students.
Reflection: (100-125 words)
Through these activities students gain understanding of a specific concept in a variety of ways. By giving
students a variety of tools in which they can address their understanding, students are able to draw form
their diverse talents to accomplish a common objective. This is essential in an online environment because
the teacher will not be able have physical contact with students to address concepts in a variety of ways.
This artifact demonstrates mastery of the standard because by giving students options, I was able to
respect their diverse talents. Additionally, options provide students with autonomy of their learning. I was
able to draw form students various talents and receive feedback about the degree of understanding.
