CALL TO ORDER
The Assembly Meeting was called to order at 8:00 in the morning.

2.0

PRELIMINARIES
Invocation and Singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
The University Student Government President, Hon. Abraham
Maguigad Jr. started by welcoming all members of the Assembly who
are present and informed the body of the purpose of the meeting.

3.0

DECLARATION OF QUORUM
Out of one hundred and sixteen (116) expected attendees, 74
members were present; hence, a quorum was declared.

4.0

REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION OF AGENDA

Before the body proceeded to the agenda items, Hon. Aprille Jennika
Joice Argonza, the University Student Government Vice President,
asked if there are any remarks with the business matters.
Hence, upon motion duly made and seconded, the assembly passed
and confirmedResolution No. __, s. 2016

RESOLVE AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to confirm the agenda items

during the Assembly Meeting at the CICS Conference Hall, Cagayan State
University, Carig Campus, on August 9, 2016.

PRESENTATION OF USG ACTION PLAN

Hon. Dioclesio P. Galo III, Planning and Development Secretary
discussed the activities with the strategies and the target dates of
implementation enclosed in the USG Action Plan, AY 2016-2017.
The chairperson, Hon. Maguigad, asked if the body have queries or
reactions on the action plan presented.
Governor of Aparri Campus, Mighty Molina, asked if it is possible to
make the Teenage Pregnancy Seminar a Campus based activity since it
is the GAD Office who is in charge of the activity.
Congressman Angel Mercurio said that the Gender and Development
Office is working together with the Guidance and Counselling Office in
the conduct of Teenage Pregnancy Seminar.
Hon. Melvin Soriano, OIC, Governor of Carig Campus, spoke and made
clear that the GAD Office is not connected to Guidance and Counselling
Office.
Mr. Arjhay Pando said that the Student Government can ask for the
help of Guidance and Counselling Office in each Campus and
coordinate with the GAD Office.

SUBMISSION OF RESPECTIVE CSG ACTION PLAN

Congressman Angel Mercurio from Sanchez Mira asked if the First
Regular Meeting can be pushed through on August 18, pointing out
that the Carig Campus doesnt have CSG and Col-SG Officers yet.
Further, Mr. Pando, said his sorry on behalf of the Carig COMELEC
because of the delays due to the issues on the election and asked if
the body can wait for Carig Campus to elect their officers before
submitting their respective action plans.
Governor Morco of Andrews Campus, suggested that the submission
and presentation of the CSG Action Plan will be during the First Regular
Meeting on August 18.
The CSG Adviser of Piat Campus, spoke about the completion of the
CSG Action Plan.

Congressman Mercurio moved a motion, for the submission on the First

Regular Meeting.
Senator Oate, also moved for a motion, having the submission of
Action Plan after the election of CSG and Col-SG Officers in Carig
Campus.
