To understand the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in Pakistan.

Course Description: This course is designed to educate the students about the generation,
transmission, distribution and utilization of electric power with special reference to Pakistan. The
course will cover the generating stations and their types, the transmission system structure including the calculation of typical line parameters. Moreover, this course will teach the students about
the power distribution system and utilization. The utilization of the electricity will be covered with
lighting and heating applications.
Prerequisite(s): Basic electric circuits.
Note(s): A minimum grade of C is required in this course to progress to COURSE.
