DepartmentDescription
Macro financial Risks Division sits in the Financial Stability area of the Bank, and plays a
leading role in advising and supporting the Banks Financial Policy Committee. The division is
responsible for assessing financial stability risks from nonfinancial sector and helping develop
policy responses to mitigate these risks. The division has three teams: household, corporate
and flow of funds. The jobholder will provide support to both the household and corporate
teams.

The household team undertakes extensive analysis of the residential property market, owner
occupier and buytolet mortgage markets, consumer credit, and the distribution of household
income relative to debt. The team draws on a wide range of data, including aggregate time
seriesdata,loanlevelregulatorydata,andhouseholdsurveydata.

Thecorporateteamfocusesonrisksarisingfromthecorporatesectorandcommercialrealestate
markets.Thecorporateteamalsodrawsonawiderangeofdata,includingregulatoryreturns,
investorsurveys,anddatafromspecialistthirdpartyproviders.
