On certain northern
destinations such as
Greenland and the
Canadian Arctic, and the
Falkland Islands in the
south, youll be welcomed
by the people who make
their lives in these remote
areas. For example, on some
Greenland voyages well
take part in or observe local
customs and traditions, or
get up close and personal
with the locals over a game
of soccer. On shore in the
Falklands, we take the
opportunity to mingle with
the locals in the pub.

AMAZON VOYAGE
Year-round weekly departures aboard La Estrella Amazonica
Discover the mist-shrouded Amazon of your imagination
on a small-ship cruise aboard IEs custom-designed riverboat,
La Estrella Amazonica!
Each day is a new adventure, with kayaking, hiking and smallboat excursions, and IEs seasoned naturalist guides tailor each
journey. Watch the passing jungle from your private balcony
or head to the Amazons largest observation deck for stargazing.
Complimentary Peruvian cocktails are coupled with music
from the ships band during nightly guides receptions.
FACES OF MELANESIA
Nov. 17, 2016, for 17 days aboard the Caledonian Sky
This award-winning journey reveals the extraordinary
diversity of Melanesia and its people. Locals welcome
you ashore with warm hospitality and invite you to learn
about their customs and beliefs. Join naturalists on hikes
through luxuriant landscapes to seek out exotic flora and
endemic bird species. Snorkel or dive nearly every day
of this voyage to explore beneath the warm sapphire
waters that are home to healthy coral reefs teeming
with colorful fish.
