University Fees
1. The outline of the issue being researched is university fees. The issue of
university fees is that the liberal government are plans to deregulate
university funding. This issue has arisen as it has concern to students to
whether study the degree. The impact of the issue is some university
degrees could cost young people a $100,000 as well as this the fees will
increase making young people have a big debt to pay over many years
from deregulation funding . This will also affect lower social economic
class people and minorities. Another possible issue is that it may
encourage students to study overseas
2. A. the two different view s of the following party
Palmer UnitedThe views of palmer united is that to deregulate
university fees as a high priority is wrong. A free education is very
important and for a student to graduate with a huge debt of a hundred
thousand or more they will become of an account or something mundane.
Students are not going to take risk to Google, apple or yahoo if they have
a 100,000 debt which will make of a society with no ideas at all
Liberal- The liberal defends its plan education minister Christopher pyne
says that deregulation will boost university freedom, productivity and
dynamism. He said that in June competition between universities would
actually force student fees down. He told the ABC if the universities think
they can get away with charging exorbitant fees I think youll find they will
face very intense competition
3. One political commentator Paul Barclay attempts to influence the
government about the issue by having a broadcast with university
students and parents about the university fee issue in the courses leaving
student in heavy debts. The will pressure the government for a change in
act as they have to solve the issue
One lobby group attempts to influence the government about the issue
by crowding around
universities and protesting with media around and
in which one lobby group got a picture of minister Christopher pyne and burned
it up and stomped on. By doing this will bring attention the issue straight in front
of the government and the severity of the situation
4. My point of view of university fees
Leaves students with heavy debts
Will impact the poorest of people the most
Will increase and some can result more than $100,000
My point of view is that university fees shouldnt deregulate as a
major priority
