PROACTIVELY HELPING TO SHAPE THE

FUTURE OF RAILWAY LOGISTICS.
The demand for rail-based freight transport is increasing. One factor in this is
the need for transport that is more environment-friendly than road and air. New
investment is being made in rail infrastructure and Europes aging fleets are
being renewed. The wellbeing of Europes industries is dependent on smooth
flows of goods.
Besides its environmental edge over other forms of transport, rail, when
used correctly, also always offers economic advantages. Freight wagons are
long-term, major investments that generate profit only when their wheels are
turning. Thus, by continuously developing maintenance and service concepts
that ensure wagons are always rolling, SweMaint is the perfect proactive
partner.
In a dynamic industry that is constantly and rapidly changing, we offer the
superior service levels, extensive know-how and a holistic approach that will
further sharpen your competitive edge. We always seek to establish long-term
collaborations that make rail freight transport an ever more efficient part of a
logistics whole.
Together, we can improve the safety and dependability of transport as
more and more goods move from road to environment-friendly rail.

Possessing a well-developed network of strategically located workshops, SweMaint is northern Europes leading repair and maintenance company in the freight wagon sector. Our intertwining with Kockums Industrier (sister company
and northern Europes premier manufacturer of specially designed railway wagons for freight transport) is an industrially logical leap forward in making freight transport by rail even more competitive.

MONEY ONLY COMES IN WHEN WAGONS ARE ROLLING

We understand successful rail freighting and the need, often expressed
by customers, to have wagons in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Covering the long-term maintenance needs of customers requires considerable expertise in system design and industrial engineering. By being open,
receptive and proactive, we seek to establish long-term business relations that
develop into customer-centric partnerships.
SweMaint is northern Europes leading repair and maintenance company in
the freight wagon sector. Our main goal is to further strengthen the competitive
edge of freight transport by rail. To achieve this, we have a cluster of workshops at strategic points throughout Sweden and, as of spring 2011, a depot
in Drammen, Norway. Furthermore, since 2007, we have had Kockums
Industrier as a sister company and enjoyed a close collaboration with this
industrial giant.
One of our subgoals is to ensure that stock can roll all day round, all year
round. Consequently, SweMaints twelve workshops offer a complete range of
maintenance services for freight wagons. Located at major, well-chosen railway
nodes from Malm in the south to Lule in the north, our well-equipped
workshops operate fleet management programmes. These cover, amongst
other things, wheel maintenance and equipment supply for a host of famous
transport companies.
Our services further include a large number of mobile units that can rapidly
provide standard and emergency fault correction throughout the rail network.
Long experience (the company goes back to 1905) and the systematic
development of expertise give SweMaint a unique and envied position in the
industry.

We now meet customer

needs internationally

from our 13 stationary workshops (Malm, Helsingborg,

Varberg, Nssj, Gothenburg, Norrkping, Hallsberg,
Kil, Borlnge, Gvle, Ume, Lule and Drammen) and
40 mobile units. Our stationary workshops are located
at strategic points on Swedens and Norways railway
networks. The mobile units can rush out to answer
acute needs wherever an emergency arises.
Working together, we ensure that traffic
downtime is minimal and that our
customers wagons are up and rolling
again as soon as possible.
