COURSE DESCRIPTION
Biology is an introduction to the study of living things and their interdependence with the environment. This course will
emphasize the development of students scientific process skills, laboratory techniques, and an understanding of the
fundamental principles of living organisms. Students will explore biological science as a process, cell structure and function,
genetics and heredity, evolution and classification, diversity of living organisms and their ecological roles, and an introduction to
animal structure and function.
First grading period discussed the nature and importance of Biology and will prepare you to the more complicated
concepts of the later units.
On the Second grading period tackled about the basic concept of life, fundamental unit that can function by itself.
Third grading period talks about the kind of life that we live depends on how we interact with other organisms of our own
kind and organism different from us.
Fourth grading period brings us the reality that life depends on our environment. What we get from it affects. What we
are, our food, clothing, shelter and most especially our health.
