2. Planning

**Formulate the vision and strategy and use it to align the direction of the company.

**Formulate the business plan for the company.

**Set the direction, and ensure effective strategy implementation for achievement of profitability
targets.

in line with the companys goals & objectives [including resource, systems, timescales, contracts,
partnerships, and suppliers].

3. Sales & Marketing Management

**Oversee the formulation of the sales and marketing plan, including which markets the
company enter, against which competitors, with what product lines, and how the company will
differentiate itself. This includes defining market, competitor share, and competitor advantages
and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; researching, identifying, and capitalising on
market opportunities; developing sales and pricing strategies, objectives, action plans and
schedules.
**Oversee the sales demand of the business in order to ensure that there are always adequate
levels of sales demand for the business in terms of volumes, the quality of the business type
and the potential profitability of this.

4. Operational & Manufacturing Management

**Formulate and implement manufacturing policies and programmes to maintain and improve
the competitive position and profitability of the operation.
**Monitor operational processes and financial performance to ensure achievement of business
objectives.
**Oversee production activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and
meet quantity & quality standards and cost objectives.

5. Financial Planning & Management

**Set the budget for the company including the allocation of capital and resources, and
recommend the annual budget to the Board for approval.
**Formulate the required profitability and return on investment by means of project and
operations expenditures and investments.
**Ensure the monitoring of risk and compliance with regard to treasury, insurance, tax and legal
issues.
**Manage the companys capital including the operation working capital and capital
expenditure.
**Monitor cash forecasts and manage interventions to improve cash flow where required.

**Ensure monthly financial and management reports are accurate and timeously distributed

6. Human Resources Planning & Management

**Effectively manages the human resources of the organization according to authorized


personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations
**Ensure the human resources are effectively managed and a high performance culture approach
which emphasizes on SHE and quality, empowerment, accountability, continuous improvement,
productivity and goal attainment.
**Build the senior management team including setting personal objectives, reviewing
performance and support career development.
**Determine limitations of authority for direct reports covering expenditure, contracts, and
personnel actions [subject to Board approval].
**Direct and determine promotions, demotions, dismissals and other actions needed of direct
report.
**Oversee a performance management process for staff monitoring performance on an on-going
basis and conducting an annual performance review.
**Hire, develop and train selected managers for succession planning, and oversee the
development of staff to meet the standards required to meet business objectives and to minimise
risk in key positions.

7. Health, Safety & Environment

**Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment for the company in accordance with
EHS and all appropriate legislation and regulations.
**Ensure compliance with the EHS responsibilities for all staff and employees, visitors,
contractors, suppliers and others entering into the Company sites and properties.

8. Stakeholder & Relationship Building

**Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups,
funders, government and other organisations to help achieve the goals of the company.
**Manage and build relationships with key/potential customers and strategic partners to ensure
existing accounts are retained and secure future business opportunities.
**Ensure the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently
presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
**Establish and manage the corporate communications plan for the company.
Provide Strong leadership to the employees at the plants. Ensure high morale, team work and
good employee relations including on the shop floor.
Responsible for overall direction, control and management of all activities within the
manufacturing operations of the plant.
Adapt to technological change and meeting the groups competitive priorities. Develop and lead
implementation of new manufacturing excellence initiatives, including strategic resource
allocation; lean manufacturing principles; organization structure; leadership; sourcing and
integration; production systems and techniques for improved efficiencies and adherence to best
practice
Responsible for formulating policies, programs, and objectives affecting the schedule, quality,
and cost of manufactured products. Direct and co-ordinate production according to quality and
quantity specifications within cost objectives.

Assure that all groups within the manufacturing area are properly staffed and co-ordinated to
perform duties effectively.
Promote the development of favorable employee relations to further the organization's
production of quality goods.
Explores and recommends changes to manufacturing systems based on analysis of modern, cost
effective methods.
Manage operations of plant and maintain financial discipline.
Exhibit high Quality consciousness and should have good knowledge of Quality systems and
certifications including TS 16949, QS 9000 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Meet or exceed performance measures including for profitability of the manufacturing unit.
Ensure Management by Objectives right through the plant.
Ensure compliance to all systems, guidelines & policies.
