The reliability of the products produced by a company are often the main focus of development
in the industry today. However, actually there is something not less important to be discussed is
about how safe and comfortable of a working environment in supporting the health and safety of
workers, given the data from the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2012 gives a
number of 29 accidents that resulted in death (fatal accident) in 100,000 Indonesian workers. The
ILO also noted that every year Indonesia have had 99,000 accidents with 70% of them caused
death and lifelong disability. Occupational accidents of Indonesia has made a loss of up to IDR
280 trillion. Product development and safety of the working environment can not be separated,
they must coexist and support each other. Besides talking about the product and its workers, we
also discuss the impact of industry on the surrounding environment, processing of industrial
wastes so as not to pollute the environment surrounding the industry is also very important to be
appointed in this paper.
Therefore, this paper is designed to provide knowledge to the consumer as well as advice for
