Friends,

Our lives are at stake. A power with ravenous appetite is devouring every
nation, its people, and all that is provided by nature and created by man. It is
eluding the vision of the common man. It is neither cyclone, nor tsunami, nor
volcanic eruption nor earthquake but it is a multi-fanged, merciless, despicable
social monster called imperialism. The apologists of imperialism may say that
imperialism brought prosperity, higher technologies, free markets, etc., but all said
and done, imperialism creates wars and thrives on military markets. War causes
destruction and concomitant evils like poverty, impoverishment, unemployment,
price rise, illiteracy, diseases and many other complications. Even child labour,
atrocities on women and cultural depravity about which every sane person raises
his voice are aggravated by imperialism.
Those who read the term imperialism for the first time, should understand
that imperialism means biggest enemy of mankind. In one word, human civilization
cannot progress an inch with imperialism intact. Imperialism is the highest stage of
capitalism. We are noticing how it is attacking sovereign nations, trampling underfoot
not only livelihoods, but also human rights, reason, finer human values, and all that
is cherished dearly by the humanity.
We have witnessed how in the recent past the leader of the world imperialism,
the USA, has bombed and destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan on flimsy grounds. It
was proved that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq but, alas, who
cares? Thousands of men and women lost their lives, children were starved to
death. Since World War II there have been over 200 military operations in which
the U.S. attacked first, and in none of these operations institution of democracy
was restored. Rather, American military operations gave the world the Shah of
Iran, Suharto in Indonesia, Batista in Cuba, Somoza in Nicaragua, Pinochet in
Chile, and Mobutu in Zaire, Bin Laden in Saudi Arabia, Mujahedeen in Afghanistan,
Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and ISIS in Syria and everywhere. Imperialist nations,
particularly the USA, created and nurtured terrorism and having created it, is
attacking other nations on the plea of containing terrorism. What an irony!
After the Second World War and after the collapse of the parallel and powerful
socialist order, the USA and its behemoths came up with the idea of globalization
policies. They were nothing but a blue print to divide and re-divide the world to
exert their respective spheres of influence to sell their produce, or in other words,

an euphemism for market division. Those countries which did not heed to their
prescription were bullied into submission. If there was resistance from any country,
their governments were cruelly brought down and in their stead, puppet regimes
were installed. Such has been the loot of imperialism, the whole world is reeling
under intense economic crises. Millions of jobs were lost, social security withdrawn,
pensions cut, prices shot up, industry after industry closed, retrenchment, lay-off
and other social and economic disasters followed feeding on each other. This has
become the universal phenomenon now. As a reaction to that, people everywhere
revolted and took to the streets. Thus we witnessed Occupy Wall Street, Arab
Spring and entire Europe getting embroiled in labour strife with millions and millions
of people protesting against capitalist-imperialist policies. We are 99%, you are
1%this slogan reverberated throughout the world.
In India, the situation is not much different. Ever since the globalization policies
were introduced in 1991, Indians have been experiencing economic turmoil that
has a telling effect on their lives. Job cuts, dilution of social security measures, skyrocketing prices, destitution, pauperization, social strifes, closure of schools,
privatization of essential services and so on and so forth. Official data says nearly
80% of Indians cannot afford two square meals a day. Atrocities on women are
rising. The Nirbhaya incident stands out as a chilling reminder of the level of
barbarity. Drug-addiction is spreading among the youth; Obscene, apathetic values
and attitudes are proliferating. Why, though there is more wealth in the country
presently, there is more inequality than in any other time in the past? Such questions
are being increasingly asked by the people. The aforesaid movements and slogans
are clear indications of the mood of the nations.
In order to divert the attention of the people from the real issues, the rulers of
the country are indulging in divisive, sectarian and unprincipled politics. Jingoism is
stoked, national chauvinism is buttered, unscientific thought processes are
patronized, mythology is paraded as history, education is curtailed, textbooks are
distorted to foster fanatic mindset, communalism is fuelled, labour laws are diluted
and war hysteria is generated. The rulers of every capitalist-imperialist nation fear
rationality and reasoning because they know that if people come to know the real
truth behind their exploitation, based on reason and logic, it is impossible to govern
them. That resulted in the killing of Dhabolkar, Pansare and Kalburgi. The Indian
imperialist class, part and parcel of world imperialism, is resorting to pro-imperialist

policies to benefit the imperialist countries, particularly, the USA, in order to derive
certain benefits for the Indian monopoly houses. It is a kind of quid pro quo.
Hence India agreed to the joint military and naval exercises with the US and in the
process, making the entire south asian region volatile. Already war-like situation is
prevailing between India and Pakistan. The rulers of both the countries are
generating war hysteria while the imperialist America, whose economy runs majorly
on arms production, is selling arms to both the countries.
We all know how the great Indian martyr, Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh,
shook the very foundations of imperialist Britain, an empire where sun would
never set. Presently, imperialism has thrown a challenge at us. Are we equal to the
task, deriving inspiration from Bhagat Singh, and scores of others across the globe,
who are waging an all-out battle against imperialism to usher in socialism, the antithesis of capitalism and imperialism? Can we prove a point that if man is equipped
with a nobler ideology by assimilating all the best and finest aspects of human
civilization and fight against the arch enemy of human civilization, viz., imperialism,
the final victory will be his?
The All India Anti Imperialist Forum is fighting in order to mobilize the public
opinion and organize the people all over the country, according to its strength,
against all the blood-thirsty deeds of imperialism, particularly, the US imperialism.
In the process, the role of Indian imperialists will also be exposed and in this
context, we call upon all the right-thinking, well-meaning people, irrespective of
caste, creed, religion, language and sex to strengthen this movement by taking an
active part in the ensuing Convention on War and Terrorism and to enroll as
volunteers. This historic task cannot be shirked or else we shall have to be
answerable to the future generations. Let us all shun apathy, shed fear, stride boldly
and join hands to create a new history!
With Greetings

All India Anti-Imperialist Forum(A.I.A.I.F)
