NGV MOTHER STATION DESIGN

Mother stations are used to fill large volumes of CNG into mobile storage trailers. A
mother station will always be located near a natural gas pipeline. Mobile storage
allows transportation of natural gas to a site that does not have access to a natural
gas pipeline. Typical applications where mother stations are used are to supply gas
to: daughter CNG stations, industries and city gas distribution systems.
ANGI's extensive experience designing Mother Stations includes:
Compression Systems ANGI can design a mother station to fully utilize the
available pipeline gas pressure and discharge CNG to required pressure and flow
rates. ANGI can also design systems that comply with extensive instrumentation
and low noise requirements.
Gas Management Systems ANGI can design the system to first direct the CNG to
fill vehicles, then ground storage, and lastly to mobile storage. Alternatively, ANGI
can customize the filling to needs of the particular site. ANGI gas management
systems be designed for extremely high flow rates, can include metering, and are
capable of can temperature compensated filling.

NGV DAUGHTER STATION DESIGN

Daughter Stations are installed where a CNG fill station is desired but there is no
natural gas pipeline. Natural gas is brought to the CNG station by mobile storage. A
daughter station compressor quickly and efficiently moves the natural gas from the
mobile storage to a ground storage. The daughter station compressor can also be
used to directly fill vehicles.
ANGI daughter stations can be designed to:
Compression Systems Some daughter stations are designed to maximize
removal of gas from mobile storage. Other systems are designed to minimize
transfer time or to minimize power used during transfer. ANGI has designed
daughter stations for each type.
Gas Management The gas management system will fill ground storage from
mobile storage. As CNG at the site is dispensed, it will also remove gas from ground
storage, compress it, then directly fill vehicles to insure complete fills.
