With the growing popularity of PEB Structures with more and more
sectors opting for it, ERA Buildsys Ltd today has made a mark even in
the RCC prone Automobile Sector by having worked with elite firms like
Mahindra, Birla Tyres, TATA etc.

Designing, Fabricating and Construction of PEBs for the chemical sector

is always a challenge as there are some extra precautions which need to
be adhered to..EBL has done several project and has gained expertise in
the same.

Construction of Stadiums involves unique design structures and are

challenging in terms of production planning as the scrap generation
needs to be monitored. EBL is a proud contributor to all the major
stadiums which made India proud in the CWG 2011 Games.

FMCG is a wide sector which is still untouched and unexplored as far

as the PEB contribution is concerned. EBL today has about 25 running

Design & Engineering Vertical

Today Era Buildsys is the one of the companies which
provides the complete Engineering & design solutions
with sophisticated softwares like Staad -Pro, MBS, and
Tekla- best considered softwares in the Indian PEB
industry. EBL Design Centre delivers quick, accurate and
cost effective solutions like railway overbridges, steel
girders and highways etc to name a few.
Our esteem designers truly believe and after a thorough
analysis claim that the Pre-engineering of metal buildings
can be optimized to meet any specific design criteria.
Purpose built buildings such as Hangars for aircraft,
Warehouses, Manufacturing and Repair facilities, captive
power plants, cold storages, office buildings, hospitals,
living shelters etc. need roof-slung facilities and utilities
imposing localized loads on to the cold storages,
considerable economies have been registered by such
optimized designs.
Installation of this type of roofing & cladding system can
provide 30 years or more of trouble-free service in most
environments.

They also feel that the Pre Engineered Buildings have

the following benefits as far as the design engineering is
concerned :-

Fields of expertise:

Research & Design - A note on Bridges and
Girders
The EBL Design team always aspires to explore and innovate. They
are presently working on designing structures which would use all
the scrap material generated during the manufacturing. They are also
exploring the usage the Bridge Girders in the Infrastructure Projects.
As the 12th year plan and the union budget 2012-13 looks promising
for the growth of the Infrastructure sector, our designers feel that this
research will surely prove beneficial.

A Bridge Girder Section

As it is a known fact that very slender very slender and aesthetic

bridges with least visual impact on environment, enhances sustainable
environment. They are an optimal combination of high tensile strength
of structural steel and high compressive strength of concrete. High
durability compared to normal reinforced concrete decks due to
restrictive crack width limitation.
Also, the composite bridges exhibits a better behavior compared to steel
deck bridges during freezing in cold weather region. Low dead weight of
superstructure (40% less than PSC Girders) results in lower vertical loads,
horizontal loads and seismic loads, thereby delivers direct cost benefit
on overall substructure cost and bearing cost.

featured project
The civil part like laying of tracks, construction of railway over bridges etc was undertaken
by ERA Infra Engineering Ltd and the PEB part was executed by ERA Buildsys Ltd.The
project included construction of 6 different structures namely Inspection Shed, Lifting
Shed- South and North side, Transformer Shed, Bogie Repair Shed and Drop Table Shed.
The scope of work included design and construction of steel structures approximately
18000sqm including its pile foundations/pile cap/ connecting longitudinal & transverse
beams, flooring, roofing, side cladding, inspection platform, EOT crane etc. It had to
be ensured that all aspects of quality assurance, including procurement and testing of
materials and other components of the work during the manufacturing work.

The final model of the MRVC Structure

MRVC
ERA Buildsys Ltd is a registered firm with Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC)
and has done a number of projects with them. One such project was the designing,
construction and erection of EMU maintenance facilities in car shed between Nallasopara
and Virar Station of Western Railway MUTP-II. The PEB project included construction of
six sheds namely- Inspection Shed, Lifting Shed- South and North side, Transformer Shed,
Bogie Repair Shed and Drop Table Shed. This MRVC project was worth `.108.47 Crores - a
turnkey project which comprised of PEB structure with typical curved rafters and civil work.
This job gave EBL the opportunity to handle and nurture it from beginning till the end. The
designing was done in STAAD Pro and the manufacturing of all the PEB components were
done in both the plants of EBL in Nagpur and Pantnagar. It was a challenging experience
as the curved rafter system generally produces a lot of scrap. It was evitable for EBL to
consider keeping the wastage at its minimal and ensure quality and finesse.

The tender team in the marketing department initially thoroughly explored the
prime requirements of the project and ensured that all the pre requisites in terms of
documentation, understanding of the details and the on time submissions were taken
care of. The design team ensured the best possible customized design structure as per
MRVCs requirement was submitted and approved. The manufacturing team ensured
procurement of the right material from the listed vendors, proper planning to ensure on
time completion, regular material inspections, and sequential dispatch of the material.
The erection team finally ensured proper erection of the structures as per the clients
requirement.
In order to deliver the project on time and with finesse, it was indeed a big challenge
for ERA Buildsys Ltd when it came to execution and timely delivery without affecting the
other ongoing 130 approx projects in the plants. The planning team took the tedious task
of including the new project in the ongoing production and ensured least disturbance in
the process flow. The project was unique for the design and engineering team as well as it
included curved rafter structures which produce a high amount of scrap. Hence there was
very less scope of rework as the raw material had to be cautiously and effectively used. To
ensure on time project completion; the pre-engineered framework used was sequential
procurement, production, dispatch and erection of the structures. The designers regular
interactions with the client, the detailers regular visits to the site and the plant and the
accuracy maintenance of the production manager assured perfect results. The proper
coordination, team spirit and the never dying zeal of the EBL team eventually led to the
on time completion of the project and ERA was awarded the completion certificate for the
same with due respect. Picture has been attached
