Objectives
In Lesson One, Dr. Sid Buzzell shows how the New Testament completes the divine love story that
began in the Old Testament. In this lesson, we will provide a simple overview of this part of the
Bible and examine spiritual insights that speak to our hearts today.
Youll also benefit from the introductory video segment, Why Study the Bible, by Dr. Haddon
Robinson of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In this segment, Dr. Robinson suggests
several reasons why it is important for people to know and understand what the Bible is and what
it says.
When you complete this lesson, The New Testament: An Introduction, you should be able to:
Summarize the New Testaments divine love story.
Name the different categories of New Testament books.
Explain the role of Christ in this part of the Bible.
