In developed economies, there is a noticeable increase in the number of self employed women after the world war as noted by Desai (2000). In cananda, Germany and the U.S.A., women entrepreneurs are making significant and giant impacts in all segments of thri economies. In Nigeria, although a developing economy many Nigeria women entrepreneurs are into tradinf, they trade in all kinds of items. Most Nigerian women and many small scale entrepreneurs prefer trading to manufacturing because; there is quick return of reward usually in form of profit, relatively heavy capital outlay is not involved, there little or no technological risks involved. The motivation to be an entrepreneur by a woman is similar to that of its male counterpart which are; The challenge and adventure to do something new Interest for business endeavors Wanting to have an independent occupation. Although some women entrepreneurs have excelled in their entrepreneurial efforts, the psycho social factors ompede the growth of women entrepreneurs.
