Abstract
Before Indian independence the environment of Indian society and the caste system dominated
the oppressed class. As the caste base Indian society has defined a particular code of conduct to persons
belonging to every caste. And the woman in every caste has been occupied a lower status than the man
even she belonging to the same caste. The lesser position of oppressed class in the higherarchy grabbed
the social freedom of the people of the caste. Though this relation appears to be relative in nature the
castes belonging to the lower strata are left with the freedom that certain animals could enjoy. In light of
the strange social scheme established in India before independence, Ambedkar has recommended
numerous curative actions as well as laws to address the abusive social system and also to conduit the
space among various social groups in the country. Therefore the present paper is an effort to investigate
the status of oppressed class established before independence and study the role of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar to
compact the circumstances through law and justice. He used methodological way with peace factors like
law and order, which are vital for social life. It also endeavors to uphold society that will build healthier
social order. And he was opposed to the brutal path in social change for it barrier the harmony and
creates disorder. He had no trust in anarchy methods. And he used a concept of welfare state, and it
cannot be developed on the base of any brutal methods. It is the only hope of oppressed class to
overcome form social boundary in contemporary Indian society.
