Butyl acetate is a good solvent and used in various industrial sectors because of its
high flash resistance and evaporation rate.
The end user industrial application sectors include the following

Paints, thinners, and lacquers


Inks
Video tape binders
Nitro cellulose
Nail enamel
Perfumes and flavouring materials
Component in synthetic flavours such as apricot, banana, butter, pear,
quince, pine apple, grenadine, butter scotch and raspberry
As cleaning solvent for silicon wafers
