To protect the rights, interests, and welfare of all higher education personnel affected by the K to 12 Basic Education Program, the Commission extends the program's coverage to displaced HEI personnel. Displaced HEI personnel refers to a former higher education personnel, whether teaching or non-teaching, who is separated from employment with the HE! due to the implementation of the K to 12 Program, regardless of manner of displacement (ie., retrenchment, redundancy, non-renewal of contract, or other analogous circumstances of dispiacement) Thus, this Office encourages all displaced higher education teaching and non-teaching personnel affected by the K to 12 Basic Education Program to avail of the said grants under CHED K to 12 Transition Program. Applicants shall apply online (please refer to CMO No. 51, s. 2016 for details). The deadlines for the First Call are as follows: | APPLICATION PROCEDURE | DEADLINE (Philippine Standard Time) | Submission of Online Applications [21 October 2016, 5:00 PM | | Submission of hard copies of the executed _ | No later than seven (7) working days after | application form, together with supporting _| the deadline or on 2 November 2016, | | documents to CHED Regional Office 3_—| 5:00 PM | The slots allotted for the displaced personnel for AY 2016-2017 are: ‘* 440 slots for Sectoral Engagement Grants 170 slots for Scholarships for Graduate Studies 300 slots for Professiona Advancement Grants 90 slots for Postdoctoral Study Grant 300 slots for Senior High School Support Grants Additional slots may be added by the Commission as necessary.
