Purpose
This configuration guide provides you with the information you need to set up th
e configuration of this building block manually.
If you do not want to configure manually and prefer an automated installation pr

3.1

Settings for SD

3.1.1 Create/Assign Sales Document Item Categories


Use
In this menu option, you define item categories for sales documents. The item ca
tegories that are contained in the standard SAP system together with the sales d
ocument types represent the usual business transactions. In this step we assign
the Billing Form and the DIP Profile.
Prerequisites
Procedure

Use
In this menu option, you can specify which item categories the system proposes d
uring document processing for each sales document type and item category group.
At the same time, you can specify additional item categories with which the syst
em default can be overwritten. There is a maximum of three possible alternative
item categories.

Use
In this Customizing activity, you assign schedule line categories to item catego
ries. This allocation of schedule line categories is carried out depending on th
e MRP type that is specified in the material master record for a material.

The item categories have been created.
Procedure

3.1.3.1 Define Requirement Classes
Use

Requirements class YB9 is primarily intended to allow sales documents to be link


ed to service orders. However, it also contains the default values for costing m
ethod, costing variant, settlement profile, and results analysis keys. These val
ues all default into the sales order and facilitate unit cost estimates, results
analysis, and settlement.
Prerequisites
Costing variant PC04 for unit costing for sales order items exists. Settlement p
rofile YBSV02 and results analysis key YBSV02 have been created.
Procedure
