Congratulations you have been selected as one of the lucky

people to work over in Antarctica for six weeks!!

1. During these six weeks you will be investigating ozone layer and why it is so
important. You will need to write a report (10 lines) and a drawing that explain
how it works and how is the human being damaging this layer.
2. While you are there it is important to look at migration of 3 Antarctic animals,
their food/diet, how they keep warm and the dangers they face in the wild. This
report will include drawings and a description of each animal (5 lines)
3. While in Antarctica you will need to do some valuable research about the
past explorer Ernest Shackleton, the leader of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic
Expedition. Describe him physically, what he wanted to do and what happened
in his expedition.
4. While in Antarctica you will need to do some research about a Spanish
research station Juan Carlos I and write about the people who live there and
their routine (7 lines)
* Attention: spot on a A3 colored map of the Antarctica, the following aspects:
a. Where is exactly the Spanish research station.
b. Look up on the internet the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition and
explain what every colored line represents on the original map.
