Like in
traditional sports, people are hooked into watching eSports. It is quite popular
among the masses because it served as a source of entertainment. Jay Coakley
explained the meaning of sports in his book into 4 definitions. The fourth definition
according to him is that sports are activities played by people for a combination of
personal enjoyment and external rewards. He also suggested that there should be a
combination of intrinsic and extrinsic enjoyment. Now, we all know that eSports
then served as an outlet for fans because of their interest and passion for the game
and to the community they had created. Aside from that, it is evident that eSports
players are well motivated because of their passion and dream. This showed that
the combination of both intrinsic and extrinsic enjoyment is present in eSports. With
