Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penggunaan rasio simpangan baku dalam
menentukan hasil analisis cluster serta membandingkan hasil yang diperoleh jika ditinjau dari
rasio simpangan baku dalam dan antar kelompok pada data jumlah tindak pidana Kepolisian
Daerah di Indonesia pada tahun 2007-2011, sehingga diperoleh hasil cluster terbaik dengan
nilai rasio antara simpangan baku dalam dan antar kelompok yang sekecil mungkin . Dalam
analisis cluster, tidak dapat ditentukan berapa banyaknya cluster yang terbentuk. Untuk
menentukan hasil analisis cluster digunakan rasio simpangan baku. Dari masing-masing
jumlah cluster yang telah diduga dengan menggunakan agglomeration schedule, dilakukan
perhitungan rasio untuk mendapatkan cluster terbaik. Cluster yang baik adalah cluster yang
mempunyai homogenitas tinggi antar anggota dalam satu cluster dan heterogenitas tinggi
antar cluster yang satu dengan cluster yang lain. Semakin kecil rasio simpangan baku,
semakin tinggi homogenitasnya. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan rasio
perbandingan simpangan baku dalam dan antar kelompok, dapat dinyatakan bahwa rasio
terkecil dimiliki oleh hasil 4-cluster, yang berarti hasil 4-cluster inilah yang mempunyai hasil
pengclusteran yang lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan hasil pengclusteran lainnya dari
metode yang sama.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe of the ratio of the standard deviation in
determining the results of cluster analysis and compare the results obtained if the terms of
the ratio of the standard deviation within and between cluster in the number of data crime
Police in Indonesia in 2007-2011, in order to obtain the best results with the cluster value of
the ratio between the standard deviation within and between groups are as small as possible.
In cluster analysis, can not be determined how many clusters are formed. To determine the
results of cluster analysis used the ratio of standard deviation. From each cluster number
that has been be expected using the agglomeration schedule, the ratio calculation to get the
cluster its best. Good cluster is a cluster that has a high homogeneity within cluster and high
heterogeneity between clusters. The smaller the ratio of the standard deviation, the higher
homogeneity. The final results showed that based on the ratio of the standard deviation
within and between clusters, it can be stated that the smallest ratio is owned by the results of
the 4-clusters, which means that the results of the 4-clusters has clustering better results
when compared with other clustering result of the same method.
