Release 9 introduces the complete integration of the Femtocell concept (Home eNodeB) and evolved
important features such as self organising networks (SON), evolved multimedia broadcast and
multicast service (eMBMS), positioning support (LCS) and also added new spectrum bands (e.g., 800
MHz and 1500 MHz) for LTE operation.
