ABSTRACT
The high demand for land settlement in line with the growing demand for transport. The
development of land use in developing residential sprawl have an impact on the environment,
because of the long distances led to wastage of so emissions can decrease the quality of the
environment. The purpose of this research is to 1) to identify the development of land use
settlements and the development of transport and 2) to analyze the quality of eco-friendly
transportation networks as well as his Ministry against settlement activity as well as 3) embody
the application of environmentally friendly transport concepts that remain in line with the
development of land use.
The data used in this research in the form of primary data sourced from the observation field
and the results of the interviews, while secondary data obtained through the NSPM and related
institutions. Methods of analysis used in the form of a descriptive analysis techniques with
qualitative and quantitative approaches, comparative, descriptive spatial analysis in the form of
methods of the overlay map, point pattern analysis and network analysis and skalogram
analysis.
The research shows, 1) residential land use developments generally follow the arterial road
network and the growing primary collectors follow the pattern of clusters, so it is not convoluted
efficient land use because of the intensity of land use is low and the low population density
causing the development of land use and transportation are not environmentally friendly, 2)
hierarchical Service Center I (the city) and hierarchy (sub) are generally located on primary and
collector arterial road that served the city public transit and BRT. Service center hierarchy III
and IV (environment) are generally located on the street environment and yet underserved with
the lines and the distance of pedestrian access over 400 m, so to access service center using
motor vehicles (transport is not eco-friendly) and 3) proposed housing development direction
developed in the secondary collector roads and local/environment by using the concept of
building a service center with the approximate on the housing so as to enable the community to
access service centers through walk, bicycle or public transport are supported by planning a
complete road network which provides a pedestrian, bicycle and public transit in order to stop
the use of private vehicles can be minimized and can reduce the impact of transport on the
environment.
