2. How to Install the Reason Pianos ReFill

To start using the Reason Pianos ReFill with Reason is easy. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Move the Reason Pianos.rfl to the Reason application folder or another dedicated ReFills folder on
your computer.
2. Start Reason. The new ReFill is now available. Check out the Demo Songs for inspiration.

3. Compatibility and Other Outstanding Issues

We have done our best to create the most realistic set of pianos ever made for Reason. This means
that the largest patches in this ReFill can weigh up to 400 MB (16 bit format). To load them into
NN-XT in Reason takes more time than loading sounds from the Reason Factory Sound Bank. We
therefore recommend a faster CPU and more memory for this product.
If you wish to decrease the RAM usage or just want the patches to load faster, please use the
included Light patches. There are light versions of the basic separate mics patches as well as all
Preset Piano patches. They include three velocity layers, as opposed to four, and no release
samples. These patches use less RAM and less CPU power. They could for example be used at the
beginning of a project and later be replaced by the equivalent full versions in mixing and/or rendering
the song.
A fact to keep in mind when selecting a patch is that the more mics involved, the more power and
RAM this patch will use up. Preset Piano patches are usually lighter than Style patches. The
Producer Piano patches are the most involved and in a few cases include all but one microphone.

4. About the Manual and Key Map

We strongly recommend that you read the included pdf Manual. In addition to invaluable info on how
to use the ReFill, its also full of facts about the PIanos used and how we recorded them.
