The role of the Grammarian

at a Toastmasters meeting is
to bring a Word of the
Week and listen for its usage. Here are some words
we have used at our club
meetings recently:
Ecletic (adj.)= wide-ranging
Elusive (adj.) = evasive
Equanimity (n.) = calmness
Froward (adj.) = habitually
disposed to disobedience and
opposition

pose with new members, Greg Smith
(2nd from left) and Helen Price
(right). Following the brief induction
ceremony, the new members performed
key roles at the meeting. Price delivered her first speech, the icebreaker.
Smiths role was to listen and keep
track of unnecessary filler words used
throughout the meeting. Toastmaster
Gina Marie Senters was also a speaker. She shared her unusual interest in
tracking gravesites.
