Call for contributions for the UNU Blog Series:

Gender Full Spectrum

UNU-GEST and UNU-MERIT call for authors to contribute to the UNU Blog Series: Gender Full Spectrum.
Through this blog series the United Nations University Gender Equality Studies and Training Programme
(UNU-GEST) and the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on
Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) want to show the wide variety of gender relevant research at
UNU and encourage collaboration among UNU researchers.
The series will present research from different UNU institutes that incorporated gender from various
perspectives into their research and the areas of focus will be as diverse as the research focus of UNU
institutes.
We invite contributions with focus on:

Research findings that include a gender perspective;

Methodological challenges encountered when researching gender;
Topical discussions on gender from various perspectives.

The aim of the blog series is twofold:

I.
II.

To raise awareness about the diverse gender-related research undertaken/done within the UNU
and to make it available to a wider audience;
To encourage collaboration and networking among researchers from different UNU institutes on
gender-related research questions.

This series aims to showcase research that has incorporated gender and to view it as an allencompassing dimension, while highlighting the different roles that men and women can play in gender
research. The wide variety of research within UNU will provide a compelling and policy-relevant mix of
articles.
To ensure the quality of the posts and to encourage networking and getting to know each others work,
this series will include a peer review process. This means that each blog post will be reviewed by two
UNU contributors and each contributor will in addition be asked to review another post.
