All residential buildings constructed in 2017 and thereafter must have solar panels or
native plant garden on the roof.
Why do we want to create this law?
The reduce the carbon footprint of communities, either through reduced energy
consumption with solar panels or through combating carbon emissions with the
preservation of native plant life.
What are the stipulations for this law that you would like to be included?
Solar panels or gardens must occupy no less than 51% of roofing space
(perpendicular to the ground, not taking roof slope into account)
Gardens installed must use highly efficient drip irrigation systems, and
water consumption will be limited to 5 gallons per month before the homeowner
is required to pay the water price
Gardens must be made entirely of either native plant species or
noninvasive, low water plant life, specifically food crops.
The city will be required to pay for solar panels and garden installations in
full, however income tax will be raised
If extra energy is produced from solar panels every month, the energy
may be sold to the city for the original price, however if a solar garden (a
garden built beneath solar panels)

If so desired, roof panels or gardens may be substituted in one's yard,
however the size requirement remains no less than 51% of roofing space
Avg Resident spends 100$ per month on electricity in VV, equivalent 150
sq. feet
Can be paid for over time through a system similar to mortgage

Litter cleanup:
This will cause a large increase in nearby waste and litter,
retracting from general beauty of area
Extra food business will create more waste, both in terms of food
waste and automotive pollution

Traffic issues:
May create an increase in automotive traffic, not to mention risk of
accidents is 50% higher in food trucks than any other automobiles

Safety and health issues:
Food trucks aren't held to the same FDA food safety standards as
normal restaurants
Many outbreaks of foodborne illnesses caused by mobile food
services, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention numbering
to 1186 before 2010 alone
Many illegally sell without a permit
Safety issues with the workers
Temperatures can get so high in these traveling metal kitchens
that inspectors say their biggest challenge is making sure food is kept cool
enough before it's cooked to prevent food borne illnesses.
5). Marketing FoodTruck is not appealing to customers, not
using Social media, no Website and not enough new business contacts.
Food trucks are a dying fad
