But I revere above all else our ability to continue as a species - our ability to survive

If we burn we shall hold our foe close like two lovers we shall both burn

In the unlikely event of losing Pascal's Wager, I intend to saunter in to Judgement Day with a
bookshelf full of grievances, a flaming sword of my own devising, and a serious attitude
problem.

A good officer sees numbers, locations, formulae, priorities, costs, and solutions. A bad officer
sees people. War is dirty, violent, and unpleasant, but a good officer never, ever lets it become
personal.
Nod Battle Commander Logan Rawne, Tiberium Wars
You won't get away with this treachery!
Mr. Lupe, please let me get away with this treachery.
" Humans are idiots. Theyre selfish and unjust and unfair, theyre violent and clumsy and petty
and shortsighted. Dont get me wrong. Every part of that applies to me, too. Im not setting
myself above them on any level. But at the end of the day, sometimes humanity isnt so bad."
Taylor Hebert, Worm
At exactly three on the clock, the enemy is to be broken by your forceful charge,
blown apart with bomb and bayonet. The honor of Belgrade, our capital, will remain
untarnished! Soldiers, heroes! The high command has erased our battalion from the
official roster. Our battalion has been sacrificed for the honor of the fatherland and of
Belgrade. You needn't fear for your lives, for they are already over. Go, go forth into
glory! For king and country! Long live the king, long live Belgrade!

"You damned bastards, do you want to live forever?

Imagawa has 40,000 men marching toward this place? I don't believe that. He 'only'
has 25,000 soldiers. Yes, that is still too many. So, Sado, you want me to surrender.
What if we do surrender? Will you get content with losing your life that way? Or
what if we hold on like Katsuie wants me to? What if we stay here in this castle, lock
it up, and wait until the Imagawas lose appetite and stop the siege and go home?
We will be able to prolong our lives for five or ten days, and what we cannot defend
will still be undefendable. We are at the bottom of the pit, you know. And our fate is

interesting. Of course the misery is too great, too. But this is how I see it: this is a
chance in a lifetime. I can't afford to miss this. Do you really want to spend your
entire lives praying for longevity? We were born in order to die! Whoever is with me,
come to the battlefield tomorrow morning. Whoever is not, just stay wherever you
are and watch me win it!

We do not know what our chances of survival are, so we fight as if they were zero. We do not
know what we are facing, so we fight as if it was the dark gods themselves. No one will
remember us now and we may never be buried beneath Titan, so we will build our own memorial
here. The Chapter might lose us and the Imperium might never know we existed, but the Enemy
- the Enemy will know. The Enemy will remember. We will hurt it so badly that it will never
forget us until the stars burn out and the Emperor vanquishes it at the end of time. When Chaos is
dying, its last thought will be of us. That is our memorial -carved into the heart of Chaos. We
cannot lose, Grey Knights. We have already won.

"I am Breschau of Livonia. I ripped out the tongues of those who spoke against me, and cut the
unborn babes from the wombs of my enemies women, that they would not become warriors to
rise against me. I took my mother by force, and I strangled my sister when she would not consent
to my advances. Soon my name was whispered in the night by mothers to terrify their babes into
obedience, I am Breschau, who bathed in the blood of children. I am Breschau, who forced the
true prophets of the lord to dance upon plates of hot iron, under which fires were burning, and I
laughed as they danced. I am Breschau, and when my mistress was unfaithful to me, I cut the
nose from her face and wore it about my neck. As for the woman, I had her sewn to her lover,
and, skin to skin, I left them in the desert to be eaten by ravens, and I laughed as I heard them
scream. I am Breschau, and this is my punishment."

"No one's fought like we're about to"

"When we joined the Covenant, we took an oath."

"According to our station, all without exception."
"On the blood of our fathers. On the blood of our sons. We swore to uphold the Covenant."
"Even to our dying breath!"
"Those who would break this oath are heretics, worth of neither pity nor mercy. Even now they
use our Lord's creations to broadcast their lies."

"We shall grind them into dust"

"And continue our march to glorious salvation!"
"hakkaa plle!"

The Epic Tiberium Wars Fan Fic has this from a Mammoth Tank crewman:
Yea verily, though I charge through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for I
am driving a house-sized mass of "fuck you."
Non est salvatori salvator,
neque defensori dominus,
nec pater nec mater,
nihil supernum.
(No rescuer hath the rescuer.
No Lord hath the champion,
no mother and no father,
only nothingness above.)
