REFLEXES and MONTH of DISAPPEARANCE

4 Months
Rooting cheek is touched or stroked along side of the mouth,
head turns toward stimulated side then sucks
Extrusion forces the tongue outward when touched or
depressed
Tonic Neck reflex which prevents infants to roll extends the
arms and legs on the side of the body. To which the head is
quickly turned while in supine and flexes limb to opposite side.
Palmar Grasp grasps objects when placed in hand
Moro Infant extends then flexes arms and fingers when
stimulated eg. noise, strike the crib, etc
Trunk Incurvation (Galant Reflex) moves hips toward the
stimulated side when the back is stroked along spines.
Dancing/Stepping stimulates walking when held on an erect
manner
8 Months
Plantar Grasp flexing the toes upon firmly stroking the outer
surface of the sole from heel to toes
9 Months
Parachuting
12 Months
Babinski Dorsi Flexion of big toe and fanning of fingers
upon firm stroking the lateral aspect of the sole of the foot
SUCKING Reflex Lasts throughout the Infancy.
