THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE TEAM

ASSISTED INDIVIDUALIZATION (TAI) AND THE USE OF MODULES


TO IMPROVE STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ACCOUNTING
OF GRADE X AK 4 AT SMK NEGERI 1 KLATEN

ABSTRACT
This research aims: (1) to describe the implentation of cooperative learning type Team
Assisted Individualization and the use of modules to improve students learning outcomes in
accounting of grade X AK 4 at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten academic year of 2012/2013; (2) to
improve students learning outcomes in accounting of grade X AK 4 at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten
academic year of 2012/2013 through the implentation of cooperative learning type Team
Assisted Individualization and the use of modules.
The subject of this research is student of grade X AK 4 SMK Negeri 1 Klaten
academic year of 2012/2013 which amounted to 41 students. This research is a Class Action
Research (CAR). Data collection in this research using observation, documentation, test and
questionnaire. Analysis of the data using descriptive analysis.
The research concluded: (1) the implentation of cooperative learning type TAI and the
use of modules conducted by grouping students of grade X AK 4 SMK Negeri 1 Klaten
which amounted 41 students into 8 groups and each student is given modules. Each group
consists of 5 to 6 students who have heterogeneous capabilities where the smartest students
into the group leader; (2) the implementation of cooperative learning type TAI and the use of
modules can improve students learning outcomes, it can be seen students learning outcomes
in the second cycle increased compared with the cycle I. In the cycle I there are 29 students
or 70,73% of students who have achieve KKM and the cycle II there are 38 students or
92,68% who has reached the KKM.
