An online platform which would hold your private CV information, e.g. GCSE & A-Level grades, university information, work experience etc., with the ability to import the information into online applications for placement/graduates. The program would be adopted by firms, but the information provided could be adapted to their individual requirements. Describe the customer experience (150 words max) When filling out placement/graduate applications, it can often feel tedious repeatedly entering the exact same information into every different application. UCAP will allow any applicant to easily upload their basic information into job applications with the click of a button. A user would input their information in detail ONCE onto the online platform. The employer would select the information they wish to obtain from all of their applicants, and this would subsequently be imported into each application form. The core questions asked are identical in most cases, and can sometimes be the most time consuming part of the application process. A universal server enabling the employer to obtain this information without the need for the manual completion would greatly improve the process, increasing the overall efficiency. The employer would of course not be limited to these questions, and would be able to tailor the entire rest of their application process as usual. What needs or values does this fulfil? (3-5 bullet points <10 words each bullet) The User Increased efficiency in entering application information, therefore less time consuming Reducing errors in entering data multiple times (resulting in accidental rejection) The Company An easier application process encourages more people to apply (greater chance of finding good people) Increases the number of people who finish their application Target audience (100 words max) The immediate audience would be applicants to an industrial placement or a graduate scheme, specifically those who are applying to business and finance job vacancies. With the large numbers of applications that graduates and placement students have to complete, whilst also juggling their degree, it makes sense to decrease the amount of time needed to complete various job applications, especially when the tasks are practically identical for each application. It wouldnt have to be exclusively for university students; however, it is these specific people who are known to be under time pressure when applying to jobs. Who would be the main competition? (3-5 bullet points <10 words each bullet) The companies themselves not wanting to take on the program
