This study aimed to determine the frequency of Ascaris lumbricoides eggs in the feces of students at SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang, Indonesia. The researcher conducted a descriptive study from July 2014 to February 2015 examining stool samples from 63 students aged 7-12. The results showed that less than half (36.5%) of students were infected with A. lumbricoides eggs, with less than half (30.4%) of infected students being age 7 and more than half (52.2%) being female.

THE FREQUENCY OF Ascaris lumbricoides EGGS IN THE FECES
OF SDN 14 OLO LADANG PADANGS STUDENTS By ARIS FULLANDA 1110311031 Ascaris lumbricoides infection is still a major public health problem in Indonesia, especially in humid place with hot climate. SDN 14 Olo Ladang is located close to the coast of Padang. This beach has a moist soil. This condition is very suitable for the development of the eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides to become their infective form. Therefore this study is conducted, aimed to determine the frequency of Ascaris lumbricoides eggs in the feces of SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padangs students. This is a descriptive study with descriptive survey design that was implemented from July 2014 to February 2015. The population is all the students in Grade 1 to Grade VI, amounting to 107 students. All student population is used as research subjects, corresponding to the inclusion criteria sample of 63 students. Data were obtained by direct stool examination. The results showed that less than half (36.5%) students of SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang were infected by the eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides. Less than half (30.4%) students of SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang who were infected by the eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides was found at the age of seven, and more than half (52.2%) were female. It can be concluded that the average students of SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang, were not infected with Ascaris lumbricoides eggs. The average students of SDN 14 Olo Ladang Padang who were infected by the eggs of Ascaris lumbricoides is found at the age of seven and found both in girls and boys.
