REGULATIONS

CONCERNING THE USAGE OF THE OFFICIAL HYMN


OF WORLD YOUTH DAY KRAKOW 2016

Krakow Archdiocese, a legal person, as referred to in Article VII. paragraph 1, point 2, Act of
May 17, 1989 concerning the relationship between the State and Catholic Church in R.P.
(Journal of Laws no. 29 pos.154, edited), is an entity owning sole property copyrights on the
musical work Bogosawieni Miosierni by Jakub Blycharz (music and lyrics) as well as the
sound recording, produced by Jakub Blycharz and Marcin Pospieszalski, which is a specific
performance of the musical work, accompanied by symphony orchestra conducted by Hubert
Kowalski and with the cooperation of vocal performers and choir singers (a detailed list of the
specific performers of this musical work is presented in these Regulations - enclosure no. 1),
which is the official hymn of World Youth day Krakow 2016 (hereinafter referred to as the
Hymn). Taking into consideration the events already planned concerning World Youth Day
2016 in Krakow (hereinafter WYD Krakow 2016), these Regulations (hereinafter the
Regulations) define the terms of the Hymn usage, as follows:

ARTICLE no. 1. The scope of the Hymn usage

1.1 Krakow Archdiocese gives its consent to Hymn usage by legal persons of the
Catholic Church i.e. personal and territorial Church units, which are a part of its
organizational structure as well as by ecclesial and Catholic organizations, those with or
without legal personality, those who operate on behalf of legal church persons (hereinafter
referred to as Church Entities) on the terms defined by the Regulations.

1.2 Church entities may distribute this Hymn solely by:

a) placement of the Hymn- its lyrics- in informational materials concerning the WYD
Krakow 2016 program i.e. brochures, leaflets posters, banners and other media.
b) placement of the Hymn- its recording in a digital form- on websites of Church
Entities, solely in order to promote WYD Krakow 2016.

c) posting, re-issuing or reproducing a previously introduced recording of the Hymn


for circulation solely in order to promote WYD Krakow 2016 and/or for reasons of
priesthood, related to lawful activity of the Church Entity.

1.3 Entities other than the Church may use the Hymn solely on the basis of either
separate permission or proper license granted by the entity mentioned in the Article 3.2 of the
Regulations.

ARTICLE no. 2. Prohibitions with regard to the Hymn usage

2.1 The usage of the Hymn by the Church Entities shall be solely a gratuitous one.
2.2 The Church Entities shall not be authorized to grant any further license for Hymn
usage to third parties (sublicense).
2.3 The Church Entities shall not be authorized by virtue of the present Regulations to:
a) sell recordings of the Hymn
b) disseminate the Hymn under other trademarks, logos.
2.4 The present Regulations are also applicable to all non-Polish versions of the
Hymn. Any questions concerning language versions shall be directed to
international@krakow2016.com.

ARTICLE no. 3 License to use the Hymn

3.1. The usage of the Hymn by Church entities in a manner other than determined in
the present Regulations, requires separate license.

3.2 The entity solely responsible to grant such a license, referred to in Article 1.3 and
Article 3.1 is Krakow Archdiocese. Any questions shall be directed to
