Seed germination

Introduction
The basic needs for a plant to grow are water, air, and the sun. However, what people do not
know is that the proportions of the four major components are: inorganic particles, organic
materials, water and air. The amount of water and air can change depending on the season.
Conditions requires the seed to grow properly are moisture, warmth, nutrient rich soil, and good
quality seed to be planted. Organic fertilizer are made from plant or animal sources which are
good for your plants because the nutrients are there without any chemichels being applied, so the
pant or seed gets the proper nutrients without any consequences that come with chemicals on
fertilizers. The inorganic fertilizers usually contain only a few nutrients generally nitrogen,
phosphorus, potassium and some sulfur which mainly contain chemicals that will harm you plant
or seed if you apply too much of it. Once these conditions are met the seed begins to grow, the
seeds absorbs the water from the soil and provides moisture to the embryo. After this process, the
plant cell inside the seed starts to duplicate and enzymes are activated, with this action, the
embryo starts getting stronger from the nourishment. Eventually, the growing plant bursts the
seed opens in search of the next ingredient, which is sun light. The roots start to grow to anchor
the plant while that is happening the plant is also in search of food, nutrients and soil. Then the
plant positions itself to the sunlight and leaves start growing, this process is called germination.
In addition to seed germination the soil can be describe as a house for the seeds and plants during
germination. The soil in an affective material because of its pores that allowed the movement of
different required materials to the seed or plant. For example, water is one of the necessary
materials that are needed to help the seed and the plant grow. Without these nutrients, the seeds
will not be able to germinate, and this affects the chances for us to live in a safe environment

because without plants our air and environment will not be clean and stable. Finally, without the
help of nutrients plants wont be able to grow and we will have a bad environment to live in so
thanks to the materials and germination we have plants and trees to regulate our environment.

Experimental Design:
Problem question: Do organic and inorganic affect the rates of seed germination
Hypothesis: if you use organic and inorganic fertilizers for the germination of red beans then the
organic fertilizer would help more to the growth of the red beans because the organic fertilizer
has unique materials and does not have any chemicals to interfere with the original materials.
IV: the independent variable would be the type of fertilizer
DV: the dependent variable would be the rates of germination
CG: top soil
EG: nature and the bone meal.
Materials and Methods:
1. We will obtain six bottles to create three Eco bottles. Then we will cut three of the bottles
in half and add water to create an aquafer.

2. We will use the three other bottles to add the fertilizers on the topsoil, which are manure
and bone meal.
3. We will make a hole on the water bottle caps using a knife to insert a pipe cleaner for the
water to flow
