Section 22 of Environmental Quality Act 1974

Restriction on pollution of the atmosphere

Contravenes of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to
a fine not exceeding RM 100,000.00 or/and imprisonment for a period not
exceeding 5 years and to a further fine not exceeding RM 1,000.00 a day for
every day that the offence is continued after a notice by DOE.
Action may be taken by DOE:
