Inspection Plan

Purpose
This manual describes how to create an inspection plan.
Scope
This manual describes the creation of inspection plan only. Creation of the basic data required
to create an inspection plan are explained separatly.
Overview
Inspection plan is a Task list for QM as Routing is for Production. An inspection plan has one or
more operation to which inspection characteristics are assigned. For all materials with
Inspection type 01,0101 and0102 you have to create inspection plan. For inspection type
06,08 etc you need not create plans. If you dont have a plan then, you can not record results
for the inspection lot. However you can record defects and take usage decision as usual.

Event
Whenever a new material is created or a new inspection type (eg.0101 and 0102 are added to
01) is added to an existing material, inspection plan has to be created. The person who
maintains the QM view of the material master will inform you to create a plan.
However you can still list down the materials for which you have create plans. You can list
down two types of Missing Inspection Plans: First one is for those materials for which PO has
been placed, but no plan is created and the second one is for all materials for which no plan is
there. Only those materials for which inspect with task list is mentioned in the material
master will be listed here.
