Name of the business

"Waxy Caddy"
Reasons for the choice of name
We came up with the name "Waxy Caddy" because waxy means 'plastic' and caddy
means 'chair' or 'seat'. The name of our business is after our product which is a chair made up of
recycled bottle with a locker.

Detailed list of strengths and weaknesses of proposed project.

Strength
-Comparative cheap price

Weaknesses
-Lack of Working Capital

-Product features
STRENGTHS

Comparative Cheap Price- it is the strength of the business that will be offered in
cheaper price compared to other products. For customers will go after products that are
good quality and of low price and we are confident enough that the products we are

offering is of good quality.

Product Features- the features and specifications that our products has is also a good
point for the business. The product do exist in the market but our product is an
environmental friendly and it is good because the government is already encouraging the
use of such raw materials.

WEAKNESS

Lack of Marketing Capital- it is hard for us student to raise enough money to fund all
the activities that the business may be facing. It will became the business' weakness
because it will not be maintained financially especially when emergency occurs.

Price
The product that we are about to offer is actually new so we are to use the cost
plus method of pricing. This pricing is usually used by newly opened businesses, their reason is
that it will make them attract more customers specially that the product they are offering is new
to the market it is hard for a new business attract customer so they are using this method.

Competitors price is a little bit higher than ours. They use the pricing method such as
Bear Method, Competition based method and Cost-Plus Pricing Method.

Place (Distribution)

16 College of Business and Accountancy

Our Lady of Fatima University

Our main way of distributing our product is through selling it to the proposed
business establishment that we are to put up. We are to use direct selling. This will be use since
we are just be starting our business and it is good to be more connected to your target customer
because you will be selling the product in person. Which is good because you can answer their
questions immediately.
Competitors way of distributing their product is through their own stall and do
partnerships with home furniture store and other furniture shops.

Promotion
Good promotion means you are properly communication with your customers, so
as a new business establishment we will be using the following promotional activities:

DISCOUNTS- knowing that the business is newly opened, discounts should be given to
the first buyers of the product. A week after the business has opened we will give
discounts. This qualification might change. When a customer has bulk orders then we can
still give them discounts even if it is after a week prior to the opening of the store.

Seasonal discounts can also be given.

CARAVANS- a month before the opening of the store, small caravans should be done.
This is to alarm the customer that new establishment is going to be opened. It will also
leave curiosity to the customers, caravans that will be held at the national high way and

subdivisions or baranggays.
TARPAULINS- the most common used promotional activity. We will be hanging
tarpaulins along the McArthur High Way. Before doing so, we should secure all the
necessary permits that the government will issue upon posting such marketing materials.

SALE- it is expected for a newly opened business that they will conduct many sales, and
so we will be doing it. This is done to promote the product. It can be the reason for the

customer to buy the products offered.

SPONSORSHIP- this promotional activity may be costly but when you do it you can
capture larger number and area of your target market. By sponsoring into some events
you will be able to promote the product. The business and the product is still new we will

17 College of Business and Accountancy

Our Lady of Fatima University

not be sponsoring big event, we will go for the small events like baranggay beauty

pageant, seminar, local congress, etc.

EXPO's- another way or promoting business is attending and joining the expo. Of course
you should choose the one's that is related to the product line that you have. We all know
that expo's are attended almost everyone who has an interest to a things then it will be a

good way to promote and introduce your product.

SOCIAL MEDIA- today that the world is evolving in the world of Internet, we are to
promote our product through the social media. People nowadays are now engaged in the
social media, everyone will be able to see the product since promotion through Internet is
fast. We should see to it to take care of the image of the business because it is truly fast to
promote through the internet but also is an easy way to destroy the company's reputation.

Government Priorities in Detail

The main priority the government regarding the business establishments are the
permits and licenses. Because of this, the business should get all the permits and licenses needed
for the business to operate legally. It should be immediately provided for the business to operate
continuously without any future problems.

Market Catalyst- The government can change the business by doing different policies
that can affect the behavior of the customer on how they will be seeing the nature of the

business.
Political Stability- future policies will always defend on the current political situation

that is within the vicinity of the business location.

Government Spending- governments earn revenue from the taxes that the business pays.
Policies can change, whether they will make the taxes higher, then the company has no

choice but to follow and pay for the corresponding amounts.

Interest Rates- the government also has the power to make the interest rates higher.
Borrowing money from the banks when the rates are low is advisable because the

business can use the money properly because the interest is not that high.
Regulations- different regulations are also done by the government, some of the
regulations that they are doing and implementing are securing permits and license for the
business. These permits and licences should be secured so that the business will not
encounter problems during the operation.

Critical Success Factor identified

CSF means a certain factor particular to the identified project which is very important for
the success of that specific project. If that certain factor is missing, is inadequate, or is not
properly taken into account, it can indicate that the project may not be feasible in the long run.
For example, not just raw materials but seasonal availability of raw materials,
perishability of raw materials, lack of standardization of raw materials, unpredictability of
availability of supply (Perhaps due to import restrictions, infrastructure problem, weather
condition, etc.), if absent the project is bound to die soon.

Lack Supply
Natural Phenomenon or Disasters
Fluctuation of Prices of Raw Materials

RECOMMENDATION

Lack of Supply- the business should find suppliers in long term. They should have an

agreements they will be supplying them the raw materials that they needed.
Government Policies and Regulations- the laws that the government makes sure it is
not biased for everyone. The business should expect that there is a great chance that they
will be affected by it. As a solution they should have strategies for the business may

encounter.
Natural Phenomenon or Disaster- the business should have stocks of the products for

them to be ready is a natural disaster strikes.

Fluctuation of Raw Materials- one factor to be discovered in the emergency fund is the
budget for the price fluctuations, for the business to easily recover from the changes in
the prices of raw materials.

2. Managerial experience

2. Comparatively high price

3. Superior technology
4. Packaging
5. Technical expertise

STRENGTH
1. Good network with customers Customers are the life blood of every business because

establishment to at least have one updated technology because it can make the
transactions easier. Its an advantage because the transactions and communication

weaknesses of the food business because it only last for few days. Knowing our product it

10 pieces raw eggs

1 small can condensed milk
1 cup fresh milk (or evaporated milk)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Using all the eggs, separate the yolk from the egg white (only egg yolks will be used).
Place the egg yolks in a big bowl then beat them using a fork or an egg beater
Add the condensed milk and mix thoroughly
Pour-in the fresh milk and Vanilla. Mix well
Put the mold (llanera) on top of the stove and heat using low fire
Put-in the granulated sugar on the mold and mix thoroughly until the solid sugar turns
into liquid (caramel) having a light brown color. Note: Sometimes it is hard to find a
Llanera (Traditional flan mold) depending on your location. I find it more convenient to

use individual Round Pans in making leche flan.

7. Spread the caramel (liquid sugar) evenly on the flat side of the mold
8. Wait for 5 minutes then pour the egg yolk and milk mixture on the mold
9. Cover the top of the mold using an Aluminum foil
10. Steam the mold with egg and milk mixture for 30 to 35 minutes.
11. After steaming, let the temperature cool down then refrigerate
12. Serve for dessert. Share and Enjoy!

3. Over medium heat, stir the ube mixture and cook till it becomes thick. Stir continuously.
Do not leave the stock pot unattended or the mixture will burn. Stir the mixture slowly
for about 30 to 35 minutes till the purple yam jam comes off the sides of the pot.
4. If the medium heat becomes too intense while stirring and cooking, lower heat to simmer.
The coconut milk should not curdle.
5. At the last 5 minutes of cooking, when ube jam has thickened, add the butter to make the
jam shiny. After the jam is cooked, remove the stock pot from the stove top and cool on
the counter.
6. Store ube in glass jars that have been washed thoroughly and sterilized. Keep
refrigerated. This keeps for a week up to ten days in the refrigerator.

demand of it gets higher. Another thing is that if there is something new about the cake the
customers will be aware of it. When the demands gets high we need to cater the right supply to
our customers.

expensive food to satisfy their wants yet we make it very affordable to increase the eagerness of
our target market to patronize our product. For as low as 30.00php you can avail our Prean

Ciabata Bread - 5.5php x 1 = 5.5php
Total - 16.48php
Computation
Subtract 100 from the markup rate = 1 minus 45 percent equals 55

Critical Success Factors Identified

CSF means a certain factor particular to the identified project which is very important for
the success of that specific project. If that certain factor is missing is inadequate, or is not
properly taken into account, it can indicate that the project may not be feasible in the long run.
For example, not just raw materials but seasonal availability of raw materials, perishability of
raw materials, lack of standardization of raw materials, unpredictability of availability of supply
(perhaps due to import restrictions, infrastructure problem, weather condition, etc.). If absent the
project is bound to die very soon.
Critical Success Factor
The other raw materials might not be available always especially our products are made up of
leather.
RECOMMENDATION
Since the availability of raw materials are unpredictable, we recommend to have another
supplier.

Production Process
Step 1: Trace a Hole on the Box
A shoebox or similar will work great for your new projector. If the inside walls of your
box are a bright color, you may want to spray paint them black or tape up some black paper for
best image quality. Once your box is ready, trace the outer edge of your lens or magnifying glass
onto one of the short sides of the box.
Step 2: Cut a Hole in That Box
Cut out the inside of the circle you just traced. You dont want light leaking around your
lens so try not to cut too much. At the back of your box, cut a small hole for your phones power
cord.
Step 3: Attach Your Lens
Now youve got a porthole cut in your shoebox its time to stick on that lens. If your
magnifying glass has a handle, you may want to remove it first. Line up your lens with the hole
and apply tape around the entire edge of your lens. Make sure your lens is held securely and
there are no holes between the tapes for light to escape.
Step 4: Take a Stand
We used a paper clip for the stand of the mobile phones.

Step 5: Flip Your Screen

When light passes through a lens (including the lenses in your eyes), it gets flipped,
which means the picture from your projector will come out upside down.
Step 6: Finding Focus
If your walls are plastered with pictures you will need to clear out a little space for your
projection. For a screen you could use a white bed sheet, turn a poster around, project onto a

Our

shower or window curtain, or just use the bare wall. Without a focus ring on your magnifying
glass youre going to have to foot focus. Position your phone in its stand near the back of the box
and walk forwards or backwards until your image starts to come into focus.
Step 7: Dont Fight the Light
Its not the power of your projector. Its how you use it! For best viewing, turn the screen
brightness of your phone all the way up and turn the room lights down. Set your phones photo
app to slide show mode for a hands free experience. Your power cord can go through the hole
you cut in the back of the box and a little tape will seal the deal.

Competitors Marketing Strategies (4 Ps of marketing)

Product
The tikiw bag is made from the tikiw plant/giant bulrush. Its scientific name was
Actinoscirpus grossus, one of the coarsest sedges in the country. It is a large, erect,
and aquatic or marshy herb plant. It has triangular stems that measure 2m high. Tikiw or
giant bulrush is found in central Luzon to Mindanao and in most islands and provinces,
abounding in fresh water swamps, and in newly opened rice land at low altitudes. The
thing is that, it doesnt cost us much capital because of its abundance to produce such a
durable, fashionable and unique bag with a very high quality.
Price
The price for our products would be depending on its raw materials and labour. It
has a competitive price among similar products and its affordable but with great quality.
The price was obtained from adding the cost of raw materials plus the desired mark up
which includes labour, electricity, transportation and packaging.

CSF means a certain factor particular to the identified project which is very

Unpredictable availability of raw materials- this is a factor that can affect the
production process in case of natural disasters. It may stop the production by

means of lack or shortage of raw materials especially the tikiw plants.

Availability of supply of goods/product- if there would be lack of raw materials,
the availability of products would be inadequate to supply the needs of
customers. This may affect the business itself by transporting the goods due to
weather conditions.

Recommendation
Since the availability of raw materials are unpredictable, we recommend to have
another supplier when the shortage comes. At least, we can still supply and continue
the production process to fulfil the demands of our customers.

Lack of Standardization
Lack of standardization of raw materials is one critical success factor that we will
encounter while running the business because it is new in the market we need
expertise/professional when it comes in to the wirings of the charger and also we need to

Supply- Demand Gap Analysis

111.

Supply-Demand gap analysis is so important in putting up a business

because it will determine the market feasibility of a business because it will show the
target market percentage of the business. The proponents do this supply-demand gap
analysis to know how many percentages are not being satisfied with the supply of
powdered juice because there is low supply of it and but it has high demand. The gaps of
the supply and demand are the markets that are not being satisfied by the supply of the
proponents product.

(4 Ps of Marketing)
201.

Product
202.

Our product is uniquely delicious and nutritious in an instant. This

is because you can prepare your nutritious drink in an easy way by just adding water
to the powderized juice rather than your usual way of having a drink by juicing the
vegetable which takes them a lot longer to prepare.
203.

Vegetables play an important role in human nutrition. Most are low

in fat and calories but are bulky and filling. They supply dietary fibre and are
important sources of essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Particularly

important are the antioxidant vitamins A, C and E. When vegetables are included in
the diet, there is found to be a reduction in the incidence of cancer, stroke,
cardiovascular disease and other chronic ailments. The nutritional content of
vegetables varies considerably; some contain useful amounts of protein though
generally they contain little fat, and varying proportions of vitamins such as vitamin
A, vitamin K and vitamin B6, pro-vitamins, dietary minerals and carbohydrates.
Vegetables contain a great variety of other phytochemicals (bioactive non-nutrient
plant compounds), some of which have been claimed to have antioxidant,
antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anticarcinogenic properties.
204.
205.

Price
206.

The proponents decided to use cost-plus pricing method in setting

the price of Power V-Juice. In cost-plus pricing, the proponents first determined its
break-even point for the product. This was done by calculating all the costs involved
in the production of the product, work force, and promotions. Then a mark-up is set
based on the profit the company needs to make. Power V-Juice must understand how
much profit it needs to generate. It will know exactly how low it can go and still be
profitable.

Supply- Demand Gap Analysis
392.

Supply-Demand gap analysis is so important in putting up a business

because it will determine the market feasibility of a business because it will show the
target market percentage of the business. The proponents do this supply-demand gap
analysis to know how many percentages are not being satisfied with the supply of body
scrub because there is low supply of it and but it has high demand. The gaps of the supply
and demand are the markets that are not being satisfied by the supply of the proponents
product.

Product
490.

Our product is very essential and nourishing to our skin because it

has calamansi, honey and salt which gives our skin vitamins and cleanses as we as
relaxes it. It is like pampering your skin in a simple way.
491.
492.

Calamansi has vitamin C which enhances your beauty, by

rejuvenating skin from within and thus bringing a glow on your face. That's because
vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is key to the production of collagen, a protein
that aids in the growth of cells and blood vessels and gives skin its firmness and

strength. It is an antioxidant that slows the rate of free-radical damage -- free radicals
are unstable molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and
wrinkles so it helps skin to recover, prevent premature ageing and can protect it from
future damage. One of the natural benefits of calamansi juice is it acts as a natural skin
bleaching agent. It is good for treating dark spots or discoloration of the skin, it helps
erase scars and other blemishes for a more even tone.
493.

Honey consists of 18 amino acids with antiseptic and antibiotic

properties in it. It is also rich in vitamins and mineral and so if used, it can heal
wounds and also moisturize your skin very well. Its coarse texture helps in exfoliation
and buffing away all those dead cells on your skin.
494.

Scrubbing with salt also helps to remove bacteria from the skin and

unclog pores. Salt has antiseptic qualities, and when applied to the skin it may help
kill bacteria and reduce inflammation along with any itching and pain associated with
bacterial-related skin disease.
495.
496.
497.

Price
498.

The proponents decided to use cost-plus pricing method in setting

the price of Sweet & Citrus Scrub. In cost-plus pricing, the proponents first
determined its break-even point for the product. This was done by calculating all
the costs involved in the production of the product, work force, and promotions.
Then a mark-up is set based on the profit the company needs to make. Sweet &
Citrus Scrub must understand how much profit it needs to generate. It will know
exactly how low it can go and still be profitable.

Supply- Demand Gap Analysis
Supply-Demand gap analysis is so important in putting up a business because it

will determine the market feasibility of a business because it will show the target market

percentage of the business. The proponents do this supply-demand gap analysis to know how
many percentages are not being satisfied with the supply of powdered juice because there is low
supply of it and but it has high demand. The gaps of the supply and demand are the markets that
are not being satisfied by the supply of the proponents product.

Name of the business: JECASWEETS

987.
988.

Reason for choice of name:

989.

Choosing a business name is an important factor to consider in the product

planning process. You should not just pick a name that reflects your brand identity, but you
should need to ensure also that it is properly registered and protected for a long period of time.
990.

The company chooses Jecasweets as the name of the business. JEC comes

from the initials of the four partners who can make a flan out of avocado. J for John, E for Erika,
C for Charlie and Avocado, to give an emphasis, that our business is offering a product that can
help decrease the risk of obesity , heart disease and overall mortality.

Production process:

1064.

Step 1; Using all the eggs, separate the yolk from the egg white (only egg yolks

will be used).

Step 3: Add the condensed milk and mix thoroughly

Step 4: Pour-in the fresh milk and Vanilla. Mix well
Step 5: Peel the avocado and remove the seed.
S tep6: Put the avocado inside the blender
Step 7: Get the cloth strainer to strain the excess rough texture of avocado
Step 8: Mix well with the milk egg and vanilla
Step 9: Put the mold (llanera) on top of the stove and heat using low fire

1073.

Step 10: Put-in the granulated sugar on the mold and mix thoroughly until the

solid sugar turns into liquid (caramel) having a light brown color. Note: Sometimes it is hard
to find a Llanera (Traditional flan mold) depending on your location. I find it more
convenient to use individual Round Pans in making leche flan.
1074.
Step 11: Spread the caramel (liquid sugar) evenly on the flat side of the mold
1075.
Step 12: Wait for 5 minutes then pour the egg yolk and milk mixture on the mold
1076.
Step 13: Cover the top of the mold using an Aluminum foil
1077.
Step 14: Steam the mold with egg and milk mixture for 30 to 35 minutes.
1078.
Step 15: After steaming, let the temperature cool down then refrigerate

Competitors marketing strategies (4ps of marketing)

1185.

Product

Leche flan, (existing product)

1186.

Is the usual flan we eat for dessert, it contains milk and eggs. The taste of

the leche flan is less creamy than the avocado flan. The color of the leche flan is golden
yellow.
1187.

Avocado flan,
1188. Avocado flan is a new version of flan dessert. It is new to our taste and it sounds
more healthy and nutritious since avocado is rich in 20 vitamins. The taste of avocado is
just right, it is moderately sweet which will suit the taste of the people. And it is low on
calories. Obviously the color of the flan is green as the color of the avocado

1189.
1190.

Price

We use the cost-plus pricing, by calculating all the costs involved in the production such
as the cost of the raw materials used and how it is being transported, the marketing and
distribution of the product. Then a markup is set for each unit, based on the profit the
company has to earn.
