Death penalty.

Is it really the only solution for all the crimes that is happening in our
society today? These past few months, lots of innocent people were killed from different
parts of the world especially in the Philippines. As we read the newspaper, listen to radio or
watch news on televisions, we hear people dying every day because policeman killed them
for the crimes they committed, but is this really the answer? Do we really need to kill these
people? Do they really deserve this kind of treatment? What if they are the only ones who
sustain their family needs? What if theyre innocent or what if they committed these crimes
because they have no choice but to do so. Do we really need to see blood shed on our
streets if death penalty will be imposed again?
Republic Act 7659 or known as the Death Penalty Act: Moral and Judicial debate

under the Philippine Government. the crimes punishable by death under this Act are heinous
for being grievous, odious and hateful offenses and which, by reason of their inherent or
manifest wickedness, viciousness, atrocity and perversity are repugnant and outrageous to the
common standards and norms of decency and morality in a just, civilized and ordered society;
due to the alarming upsurge of such crimes which has resulted not only in the loss of human
lives and wanton destruction of property but also affected the nations efforts towards
sustainable economic development and prosperity while at the same time has undermined the
peoples faith in the Government and the latters ability to maintain peace and order in the
country;
it was implemented for those criminals who have been proven guilty to a heinous crime with
the proper due process of law.
Through this it will be an instrument to strike fear in the minds of criminals and make them
think twice before committing any act of violence.
But knowing our society today, if such penalty will be reimpose, any will lose their family
members. Instead of helping our society to be better negative vibes will
If God the supreme ruler of this earth can forgive, who are we to contradict his will.
Lets just hope that this will be properly imposed and with due process for those who really
deserve this penalty. If not, innocent will be killed and their family members will find ways
to revenge.
But for me, I am not in favor in the reimposition of death penalty. For me, there are other
ways of serving for the crimes they committed. I believe that everyone has the right to be
given second chances.
We as a human being have no right to kill any person.
Death penalty is not the only solution.
If God as the supreme being gives chance to sinners, who are we to withhold it.

I am not in favor to the reimposition of death penalty in the Philippines. I believe that sentencing
a criminal to die is not the only solution to pay for the felonious acts he committed. There are
still other ways for these criminals to be penalized in which they can be useful in our society.
The government may provide rehabilitation center wherein these criminals will be trained to
serve the country, in that way he will be given a chance to repent his sins and make his life
better.
For others, death penalty is the only solution for these criminals to pay for their crimes but is it
the solution. Indeed criminals deserve to be killed for what they have done but the
government as executed by human beings, do not need to get their hands dirty just to kill
these criminals. It is not the only solution to the problem our society is facing. It will not
totally result to peace since families will also find ways to get even especially if they
knew he was innocent.
If God as the supreme being gives chance to the sinners, who are we to withhold these
criminals.
