Azael always knew he was different from the other children who would just

mindlessly follow and obey the rules as set out by the other children, this may be
because he was abandoned by his parents he thought. Why must I listen to all
these laws and obey all these rules that doesnt even make any sense. This is
how it all started, the city officials did not take very kindly to being questioned by
a young boy and especially him they thought. This ended with him receiving
what they called their righteous right with him being beaten in the church of
their Lord.
As time passed Azael started asking questions about his questions about his
parents, for the longest time the elders dismissed his questions and though
nothing of it. But one evening while walking around town, he heard a hushed
conversation behind closed doors about a couple that was burned alive at the
stake 15 years ago and their son was spared for maybe a cruel sense of humour
to not allow their child to be sent off with them. And then he heard, them
mentioning his name he didnt know why they mentioned his name or in what
context he just knew he heard it.
For the next couple of days Azael spent his time in the Library where the City
records are kept he know had a time frame 15 years ago and he knew that they
were burned alive at the stake, from what he remembers about the laws of the
city that means that they accused and found guilty of Hersey. After a long search
he found what he was looking for a couple named Lina and Azekeal who were
found guilty for worshiping Asmodeus instead of the Patron of this land Paldor.
This infuriated Azael how can people punish someone for believing in something
different that the others isnt this a free society, where people can make their
own choices, he vowed vengeance on all those involved with the murder of his
parents.
For the next couple of weeks Azael spent all his time trying to find information
about who this Asmodeus is, but here was no information on him, what he did
find though was some more information on his parents about where they used to
live, it is now deemed to be a condemned building and entering is a punishable
offence.
Deciding that he must find out more about this Asmodeus and hoping to find
some information about his parents and maybe who it was that captured them
he returned to a home that he never got to live in. The old house looked run
down and there was clear burn marks where someone tried to burn down the
house, as he entered the house he saw a strange symbol
all he could assume was that this is the symbol of
Asmodeus as this symbol was repeated quite a few times
all over the house. As he went through the house and
searched for any more information he found an old ritual
book of his parents, in this book he found a pamphlet about
the church of Asmodeus that seems to be hidden in the
sewers meeting once a week on Wednesdays at 0:00.
Azael waited till the coming Wednesday and went in search for this Church that
he found a map to, as he was searching he was caught wondering around
outside by a guard with a curfew in place this was a serious offence he had two

choices be caught and punished, or get rid of the guard. As the guard is part of
the system that murdered his parents Azael felt not guilt about getting rid of the
guard, he took out a dagger and stabbed the guard and ran away as fast as he
could.

How could this feel so right he was wondering he knew that what they did to his
parents demanded retribution but this felt better than he had fought possible?
After getting away from the scene of the crime, he returned to his search for the
church. 10 minutes later he found the same insignia he saw in his parents
house, on a weird looking panel against the wall, he pushed the panel and a
hidden door opened where the panel was.
Looking inside he saw a few hooded figures he walked inside and there was more
of those Signs and more books like he found at his parents house, the others
noticed him and rushed towards him with weird knifes drawn. He yelled at them
to please stop he is no threat to them but it didnt persuade them. Fearing that
this might have been a big mistake he pulled up his sleeves and drew his own
blade, and the hooded figures immediately stopped in their tracks. What is that
mark on your arm, young one? one of the figures asked, Azael answered that it
was a birth mark. I once knew another man a friend a brother that had a mark
just like that but he was killed a long time ago the same man said, Azael asked
was his name Azekeal, How do you know that name? the man yelled. Azeal
responded that it was his father. The figures muttered to each other in a whisper
and responded you are welcome here brother if you have accepted Lord
Asmodeus as the one and only Deity.
The next few years were spent learning all the mystical arts that these 3 figures
had to offer on a few occasions there would be more people but for the most only
these 3 would be here
