SEATTLES & BALTIMORES UPPER CLASSES

Around the world, every country has social classes divisions nevertheless, some
countries do not like to talk about this term. Americans think that they do not has class
differences and talk about a middle class to avoid discussions about it. The United
States are not a classless country because a big part of Americans wealth belongs to
upper class, which is the smallest part of the total population. In each city of the United
States are an upper class whose access to wealth, power and prestige place them at the
very top of the American social stratification scale (Weir, 2007) however, there are
many differences between a city and another. Therefore, this text talk about upper class
in two American cities and to find out similarities and differences between Seattle and
Baltimore.
Education is a very important aspect in a society for developing a country. Upper
class people have better opportunities to be in a private school or university
nevertheless, a little part of population can enjoy this privileges which result in unequal
education and job preparation for Americans. However, Baltimore has more education

problems than Seattle because this city is highly segregated. The richest people on
Seattle has an awesome opportunity to has a complete education and enjoy of some
important information to be somebody on the future. On the other hand, on Baltimore
the segregation divide the population and poorest people do not get the same education
of Seattle people. The education in Seattle is more accessible for population than in
Baltimore, where the poorest do not have the same opportunities than Seattle citizens.
The health on Baltimore is a difficult situation because segregated population do
not have the same right than upper class people. In Seattle the health problem does not
has the same situation than Baltimore because in Seattle the King County help rich
people. This county help people to enjoy of every right they have and be treat for an
excellent doctor or expert in the area. In Baltimore, the racial problem does not let they
to be into an hospital or enjoy of the same privileges than Seattle population.
The population of both cities are very similar because Seattle has 652,405 and
Baltimore has a population of 622,104 (Wikipedia, 2016). This is a small difference
between both American cities. However, the social and politic problems are better in
Seattle than in Baltimore, where the population enjoy of money benefits that help they
to has a good education and get they more opportunities. In Baltimore, the segregation
and racial problems do not let this minority to has a specialist for a disease or illness
that could end they lives.
In conclusion, Seattle is a city with better opportunities than Baltimore. In
Baltimore, people will suffer of economy and social shortage because the only people
that will enjoy this lesser conformity are the upper classs people. On the other hand,
Seattle is a city with less populations segregation therefore, upper class and middle
class will enjoy of the same rights and chances for everyone. Finally, Baltimore need to

destroy segregation division and become an equalitarian city. Seattle will be better than
Baltimore nevertheless it city could be more balanced and let everybody to enjoy the
same possibilities no matter what race, economic place or gender they are.
