The overall aim of this lesson is to teach the student the days of the week.
Learning objectives
-
Identify the days of the week and know which day come first and what day come next.
Recognize the day of today, and what day was yesterday and what day will be tomorrow.
Know which days call the weekend and why they called the weekend.
Some students may have a background knowledge about the days of the week.
Some students may know the days of the week, but they may not know which day comes first.
Anticipated problems and possible solutions
I may have a student who cant reorder the days of the week, so I will try to sing the song of
the days to help him remember what day comes first.
- I may forget the cards of the days, so I will try to write it on the board using a marker.

Summary
Today, I taught my students a lesson about the days of the week, I prepare for them many different
activities, it was good and the kids loved very much. However, I dont think that this lesson was successful,
the games were interesting, but the not the first one. The children faced some difficulty in putting the days of
the week in the right order on the washing line, so I helped each child and that took a lot of time. Then, I
was a little bit nervous because of what happened, so I forgot to put the other cards on the washing line but I
said it orally. I felt really sad, and I told my mentor but she said you should not be sad, everything was
okay, the kid just find it deffeclt to use the clips but they enjoy the other games, and that happened for every
teacher, we need to try the things to know what works better with the kids. Her words make me feel better,
we are here to practice teaching, and we need to do some mistake to learn what is best for the students.
Next time I teach, I will try to use simple activities for the little kids, I will ask the student to reorder the cards
on the board without the need to put it on the washing line using the clips. I will also try to use different
strategies to know what works with children and what methods dosent work with them.
