Padlet, Wordle, and Tagxedo Reflection

The last teacher in-service I went to was based on Padlet, Wordle, and
Tagxedo. The artifact is the certificate of participation. These teacher based
programs are great for formative assessments. When teachers think of formative
assessment they think paper and pencil. These would give another option. Wordle
and Tagxedo are similar, they are both word cloud creators. Tagxedo will make the
words larger if they are used more. You also can paste whole documents in the
program. Padlet is an interactive web page that allows you to have students
answers on the board immediately.
I would show this to teachers to give them another option on formative
assessments. I would also so them tagxedo as a teaching tool. When students write
a paper, they can post the document in the website to make a world cloud to see
which words they are using the most. I would do this just to give another option. I
would like to show this to staff during the Tech Tuesday sessions as professional
development.
