What I learn and realize on

the Study of the Life, Works and Writings of Rizal

Written by Joemar Pelegrino

Studying the life, the works of a dead man

Is not what most people thought it to be
Its like traveling on a colored caravan
Not like opening an empty clichd pot
Mesmerizing, inspiring; not boring.

Rizal - a man that define patriotism;

A Man with ideals and intelligence
With Philosophy minimal activism
His words struck our dutiful edifice
To a conqueror seeking power and pearl.

Education is a valuable gift

Something that cannot be taken
Light of the country; hope that will not ever drift
Hoping your indolence be shaken.

Being a polyglot, polymath is a gift

Which he, Rizal, uniquely possesses
That proves how education will not ever drift
But will always cover you with dresses.

Youth, the unwounded future awaits

Be the guide of next generations to come

Dont be hinder by a demanding gate

May not your strengthen feet numb.

Youth future of our land is what you uphold

Some shows doubt yet you prove you were right
As the sun glaze our fate awaits to unfold
May you be our model and our light.

The journey of a curious man always seek

The truth, knowledge and key to liberty
The novels he wrote does not make a man weak
But part of an awakening history.

His ordinary life inspires many

Works founded a patriotic revolution
Writings that delivers hope to any
May his legacy be known no diminution.
