.b Run the AHA executable file, which will install the AHA utility into the ConnectEMC directory, e.g.
C:\Program Files\EMC\ConnectEMC\AHA
.c On running the AHA executable, it checks if a specific version of JRE installation exists on the

Verifying AHA Functionality

.a The first step in testing AHA functionality is to trigger events on the storage system that are
monitored by CLARalert or ESRS IP Client for CLARiiON monitoring configurations. Some
examples are: a07 (disk pull events), 2004 (Test event) etc.
.b Once the events are triggered, AHA intercepts them. To check the intercepted event xml files,
browse the AHA\poll folder.
.c AHA processes event xml files before sending them to ConnectEMC for transport to EMC. Once
the event xml files are processed by AHA, they are copied to the ConnectEMC poll directory or AHA
archive directory. Files copied to the ConnectEMC poll directory are transported to EMC and also
copied to the ConnectEMC archive directory if successfully transported to EMC. Files copied to the
AHA archive directory are call home files that where filtered by the AHA application.
.d To check the call home files that where discarded (filtered) according to the filters set by AHA, go to
the AHA\archive directory. These are the call home files which would have been sent to EMC if the
AHA utility was not installed and running.
