Todorov, a Russian film expert, created a

theory in the 19th century suggested how film
narratives run. The narrative is like a template for a story, a template
often followed as it pleases the audience. His narrative theory suggests
that there is an equilibrium, it is disturbed and then restored by the hero
or heroine.
Equilibrium is the calm, happy time in the story where the
characters typically have nothing to worry about. The disruption, is a
problem the characters face, this builds the story and makes it interesting
for the audience. Typically, after the hero of the story has
Andrzej Wicher, Piotr Spyra,
solved to problem, equilibrium has been restored. This is
Joanna Matyjaszczyk. (19th
November 2014). Basic
usually referred to as the standard happy ending.
