The PILAS committee would like to make you aware of and invite you to our

second organized event of the Academic Year 2016-17. On Monday 23rd


January 2017, we will hold our annual visit to the British Library, and in
addition, there will be a round-table discussion with Latin American writers
Chloe Aridjis and Carlos Fonseca Surez.
Details of this free event, including short biographies of the two authors, can
be found on our webpage but this is a summary of the afternoon events.

Library and the Senate House
17.00 to 18.30 Break and drinks
18.30 to 20.00 Round-table discussion with the Latin American writers
Chloe Aridjis and Carlos Fonseca Surez

Following the great success of our Fieldwork in Latin America workshop in
Sheffield on the 22nd November, we look forward to another successful event
in January and to meeting more PILAS members.
Also, do look out for our pre-Christmas newsletter which will be sent to you all
shortly before we break away from the books and computers for the
Christmas holidays.
